Nice intel, thanks for the heads-up on the fleet, I hope I can get enough ships over there to take it out before it reaches our mainland. I think you'll be okay at sea - they are mostly building ironclads now.
By my count the Troll 1-movers can get to Mai-Tai on t213, Deerslayer or Ramune t214, Screwdriver or Irish Coffee t215. If you have enough cannons and cav then burning those cities and retreating would be a great way of hurting them - let them come into your culture and then hit them. Although they have 30 cannons so you'd need a lot of cav.
I'll keep hitting their stacks with airships to ensure the top defenders are hurt, but they only need to stop for two turns to heal.

I have neither cannons nor Cavalry. I'm wondering if I should be going and burning those cities when I'm not even sure I can reliably hold San Juan...

Hmmm... You could be right. But your stack looks so lovely and shiny! What sort of force would you be sending in if you did?
I plan to consolidate the Gillette fleet and keep probing the Troll coast, so the more you can throw at them the better chance I have of burning something.
BTW Q - did you buy Red Bull or did Trolls have another reason for giving it up?

Bought it, along with the other border one for a longer NAP. Also a no-attacking through my borders deal, but I haven't let anyone do that without it anyway. Speaking of which, can I get a longer NAP with Gillette? Everyone else is T250, by which stage I assume we'll have conceded anyway, so it hardly matters.

Does that mean I need to turn my stack around? Recon: Due to indecisiveness on my part, I'm a turn late on the attack. Still doubting this is the right move. M3's defences are congregated near African Safari, 1NW of the city: While Troll defences are congregated near Mai-Tai: Harry, On The Rocks has a significant garrison:

What turns are you guys declaring? I'll loan any spare airships I have to help knock down the top defenders if you tell me which city you want the airships in. I'm trying to tie up as many units in coastal cities as possible (for instance On the Rocks) so that they won't be coming at you. There are 11 modern units in Weissbier (MOM city), 8 in cape cod, 6 in Elephant Beer and 5 in Salty Dog. I suspect that EB and SD will attract some more next turn because we just sank half of their defensive fleet: I think the only risk we face now is if one or two of us sign peace, allowing Trolls to roll over the other(s) for the win. I didn't take the peace Trolls offered five turns ago. Would you be willing to stay at war with them for the foreseeable future (20 turns) or are you after a brief war with some small gains? To be clear about my war-end strategy - it consists of 1. Survival and 2. Not leaving you guys in the lurch. I'm happy to sign peace with Trolls whenever you are, but I won't do it without you and I hope you won't do it without me. What are you hoping to get from the war and how do you see it ending? Also, more importantly, what's with the font on your screenshots? Courier?

Q's going to buy Irish Coffee off of the Trolls and his NAP includes a 'don't let other people's armies move through each other's borders' clause, so that means my frontline is just going to be Screwdriver. I plan to turn the troops hanging around in Q's territory, then invade and raze Screwdriver T213. After that, build as many Cavs as I can to stave off the Troll doomstack. I'm still not seeing the Trolls building many Grenadiers.
Harry, I requested your spare source of Silver. Can you post recon on the Troll doomstack? ~30 Cavs can really mess us up.
My goal is to survive and protect my territory while aiding the confederacy.
I think we should peace out pretty soon. The Trolls are getting Railroad in 4 turns. I think we (okay, Harry) might actually be able to out tech them - they're currently making ~350 GPT, vs M3's 650 GPT.
The font: I downloaded a Chinese localization patch from CivClub to try to improve my Chinese ability. This backfired because I barely read anything on the screen while playing Civ. The patch changed the font on the English version, too.

The Troll doomstack: I half-jokingly propose we become a confederation with Old Harry at its head. We sign defensive pacts with each other and let Old Harry handle all foreign diplomacy. Then attempt to crown ourselves winners. Then we watch as Old Harry begins centralizing power and begin gifting him GPT in exchange for armies. Then we officially merge into a super-state by gifting Harry all of our cities except our capital in exchange for Forum Access to Team Gillette. (I played too much Europa Universalis over the summer...)

I half-jokingly accept! It sounds like I'd enjoy Europa Univeralis!
Edit: Obviously there are a few bad apples we'd need to purge in the process, but that's just detail!

Still might've done it, but wouldn't of done so without mentioning here first. Do tell me if my proposal is unreasonable, I couldn't think of a better way.
