Apparently M3 and TEAM both have NAPs to T210...?
Gillette: Can we borrow some of your spare health resources? We're running against the Health cap, and the extra food means more drafts.

We are doomed. No, I have NAP to T220. I have basically nothing to do so am going to be whipping/drafting out a million troops till the concession.

Nice idea stick. Are you going to update your sig here as often as on RB?
I guess this is our last desperate stand against the Troll menace. I'm not sure how much we can do in the way of coordinating attack or defence, but I'm happy to share as much info as anyone wants.
I think the NAPs work like this: Trolls-Gillette expires t201 (due to how our last war started) Trolls-Pirates expires t205 (does this mean you/they can attack t205?) Trolls-M3 expires t210 (ditto) Trolls-TEAM expires t220 (ditto) We're all ahead of them in turn order so should be able to attack first (unless you have caveats about that in your NAPs?)
If we can all survive until TEAM get involved then things could be interesting, otherwise we'll be conceeding some time around t220. Let me know if you think I'm being unduly pessimistic...
The Troll stack is currently 20 Cavalry, 8 Knights, 23 Rifles and 17 Cannons (thanks to HAK for the heads up on where they were). With another 3 rifles a turn, police state and the Kremlin they can keep pumping out military units so I expect at least another 15 cavalry (including knight upgrades) and 9 rifles in four turns.
We're resigned to losing Jemmy and we're wondering if it's worth trying to hold Katana. We need to hold Epee if our capital is going to survive so that is where the majority of our units are going to go. Anyone got any suggestions or plans of their own?
By the way stick, if you request the health resources you need in-game I'll confirm next turn.

Just logged in to see what Trolls did and noticed a great merchant two turns from the border with all three of you. Do your NAPs say anything about cancelling open borders? Also they are up to 25 cannons.

We can cancel OB.
OH, from what I saw when I was turnplaying (so a bit out-of-date) I think you might have to be resigned to losing all your front cities. Perhaps you could try and predict which city they will hit with most of their units and have counterattackers ready in the fog with collateral?
The Trolls sent us the following email during the night:
"Hi Menagerie,
"We've noticed an alarming spike in the power graph lately. Are you guys interested in extending our current NAP beyond T210?
"Tropical Trolls"
We'll have to look up whether our NAP goes to end-of-turn or not. Obviously we will be responding in the negative to the above message. Sadly, no matter how politely or noncommittally we put it, they will know we mean to go to war.
Finally, just like to echo that this forum is a great idea! I feel so devious ... do the lurkers (if any) know about this?

Checking in for team Gillette. I assume Old Harry also told cheater hater. Great Merchants don't need ob, unfortunately. Now one thing you could do is wait until it gets inside your borders, then close ob and surround it with units so it gets stuck And yeah, this thread is a great idea!

Actually, wait - my team doesn't have RoP w/Trolls. They cannot legally pop their merchant in our lands.

Is there any way for you to see that they've used you to pop the merchant? I'd suggest that you could use it as a pretext to declare, but your military situation would probably make you an easier target than us right now, so that's not such a good idea, better that you keep supplying us and we try and kill their stacks in our crumple-zone. I like the surrounded-merchant suggestion Yossarian - that sounds really familiar from somewhere... Unfortunately (unless they get greedy) I think Trolls will pop it before anyone gets the chance. I assume lurkers don't know about this forum - I've no objection to telling them though. I can post war pics here for your entertainment if you want? (Edit: I don't know how much visibility Pirates have on Trolls, but your two border cities currently only have 2 maces each in them. I'd guess they'll send drafted rifles there nearer to t205)

Just BTW GM don't get bonked on war dec (read PBEM 17 for the most famous example) so killing it is easy if you can get a unit there (Gillete's at war soon/now right?)
Post whatever pics you want, it'll make reading threads after easier, and I don't think anyone plans on killing anyone at this stage.
No and this is very gamey/stupid IMO.

Yes, please post pics (if you have the time).
I'm not sure HAK knows about this forum yet (despite the PM). I haven't been able to catch him on chat; if anyone else does, be sure to let him know.
I'm fine with lurkers knowing so long as the Trolls don't - I don't think we want them to know how closely we're working together.

Most relevant sig line ever We haven't canceled our NAP yet, since our military consists of a mere 6 Rifles 3 Grenadiers. Our NAP is very fuzzy on the details. The .1 lurkers know about this thread since I posted it on the RB site. Do the Trolls have a significant navy? We don't have anything better than Triremes. (Worst Pirates Ever.) @harry: Can you spare your spare sources of Bananas, Clams, and Dye? I can only see the border city of Screwdriver, Irish Coffee is out of our vision. Do Trolls have Airships? @thh: Why did you build the Hagia Sofia?

@stick: Do you have a 10-turn cool-off period? When do you want to make it end?
Trolls are up to five Frigates now, but I think Gillette will be able to out-produce them as they don't have as many good coastal production cities as we do. We need to knock out their navy because we have too many vulnerable coastal cities to allow them to have any boats...
Trolls don't have Physics yet and I think they are using money for upgrades to cavalry and cannons right now - M3 have research visibility so they can let us know if they look like getting it.
I'd guess Hagia Sofia is useful for building workshops everywhere?

You'll have to ask HAK about Hagia Sophia when he finds this forum.
